Dukes of Burgundy

In the 15th century, Burgundy was a unique region in Europe, rich and influential, renowned for its political, economic, and cultural power. The Dukes of Burgundy transformed their duchy into a vibrant court, promoting the arts, music, and regional products, and serving as a hub for trade.

The iconography of these festivities can be found in the collections of the Amsterdam museum, where one can appreciate the delicacy of the banquets and dishes represented, notably in the painting The Vow of the Pheasant .

Today, you can relive this gastronomic heritage at our events: barbecues with music and summer banquets inspired by traditions.

The Route of the Dukes of Burgundy allows visitors to discover castles still inhabited today, testaments to the grandeur of the dynasty. These sites offer a unique panorama of the architecture, history, and cultural life of Burgundy through the centuries.
